BTA announces Students of the Month for February

Jordan Krystofiak was selected by the Brocton High School faculty and staff as Student of the Month for February 2017. Jordan is a sophomore at Brocton High School and resides in Brocton. Jordan is the son of Julie and Steve Krystofiak.

Jordan is a dedicated and hardworking student. He is very proud of his achievement of making the honor roll this year.

Jordan is also an incredible athlete. He is the captain of the bowling team. Jordan also participates in baseball.

Outside of school, Jordan enjoys fishing, camping, hunting and other outdoor activities.

After high school, Jordan would like to attend a two year college and then go on to further his education in cooking or small animal science.

“Jordan is a great student. He participates in class and has a good attitude. When others may be hesitant to answer, Jordan is always willing to take a chance. He is a pleasure to have in class,” Stephanie Giermek, BCS social studies teacher said.

Jadniel Varela was selected by the Brocton Middle School faculty and staff as Student of the Month for February 2017. An 8th grade student at Brocton Middle School, Jadniel is the son of Glory Ann and Hector Aponte, who live in Brocton.

Jadniel is an active student. He is in the school band and plays the clarinet and bass clarinet.

Jadniel is a high honor roll student who is dedicated to his school work. His favorite subjects are science and social studies.

Outside of school, he has participated in CCMTA Solo Fest and the 8th Grade CCB Band. His goals are to learn how to play the oboe and attending All-Country Junior band as a freshman.

Before graduating high school, Jadniel would like to travel to Western Europe.

When he graduates from high school, Jadniel plans to become an anesthesiologist and attend Harvard University.

“Jadniel is the kind of student that a class is built around: he is dedicated, respectful, and resourceful. He works hard to make sure that he is knowledgeable about his subjects, and puts in the extra time needed to succeed,” Travis Perry, BCS english teacher said.
