Mr. and Mrs. David (Sandra) Ball
David Ball and Sandra Dingman were married Aug. 15, 1964 at the Gowanda Methodist Church.
The maid of honor was Carol Kearbeline (Davis), college roommate of Rochester. Bridesmaids were Collee Hall and Janice Hall of Perrysburg. The best man was Craig McFarland. He and the ushers, Jack Peacock and Floyd Ball, were of Silver Creek.
The groom graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1960. He served in the Marine Corps. In 1966, he graduated from SUC Brockport. He was a football coach for Fredonia High School, and coached many other sports at several schools – basketball, track, swimming, bowling.
The bride graduated from Gowanda Central School in 1960. She graduated from SUC Buffalo with a degree in home economics in 1964. She graduated from Buffalo School of Bible in 1986 and became an Ordained American Baptist minister in 1986.
The couple had four children Michael Ball (Lori), Robert Ball (Julie), Marge Johnson and James Ball. They also had several foster grandchildren, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Sandra taught home economics at several schools. She was a stay-at-home mom for 18 years, and is now pastor of the Fellowship Church in Brocton.
The couple will be married 53 years this year.
