The Knights of Columbus 19th Annual Priest Appreciation Dinner will be held on Sunday, Sept. 17 to honor the important ministry of our priests, deacons, religious sisters and seminarians.

Bernardo Hall, 1032 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served at 4 p.m. and dinner will commence at 5 p.m.

Words cannot express the profound impact that those in ecclesial ministry have on our lives. Many Catholics can share memories of when a priest, deacon, religious sister or seminarian helped them during a time of trial or shared with them a time of great joy. Their ministry is tireless and comes with ever-increasing demands. Nonetheless, the witness of our priests, deacons, religious sisters and seminarians to the Catholic faith has inspired us to grow in our relationship with the Lord and carry out the Gospel message in our everyday lives.

The Knights of Columbus join the Catholic faithful in thanking our priests, deacons, religious sisters and seminarians for the positive influence that they have been in our church, our community and our own lives. The Annual Priest Appreciation Dinner is held to honor the ecclesial ministers serving in our area by expressing our gratitude for the blessing that they have been in serving the needs of our community and our Church. The dinner menu includes tossed salad, roast turkey, pulled pork, smashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, vegetable melody and ice cream.

The public is invited to join the Knights of Columbus in honoring our priests, deacons, religious sisters and seminarians. Tickets are $15 per person and must be purchased by Sept. 5. Only 200 tickets are available. Tickets may be purchased from any member of the Knights of Columbus and by contacting Louis Sinare at 673-1068 or 532-4806. Thank you for helping us support our priests, deacons, religious sisters and seminarians.
