Music for People improvisational performance set
The Fredonia First United Methodist Church and the Hannah Hasbrouck Petersen Memorial Series invites the community to a very special concert featuring faculty from Fredonia School of Music’s upcoming weeklong workshop entitled “The Art of Improvisation.” The ensemble is comprised of musicians in the Music for People Leadership and Musicianship Programs, led by David Rudge and Mary Knysh. Music for People is a worldwide organization, co-founded by Grammy Award-winning cellist David Darling. It is a community of people dedicated to creating freely improvised music, moment-to-moment. The performance is unplanned and spontaneous. It can never be repeated.
For more information about the workshop, see www.musicforpeople.org.
This event will take place on Saturday, July 29 at 8 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Fredonia United Methodist Church, 25 Church St., Fredonia. Admission is free. Come for this unique addition to the ongoing Hannah Hasbrouck Petersen Memorial Series!
