Free community carnival planned
Faith Baptist and The Salvation Army have partnered together to offer the Dunkirk Community a free carnival. This carnival is in collaboration with The Chautauqua Center’s Community Family Fun Day.
Faith Baptist and The Salvation Army are providing the Dunkirk community with affordable family activities at the free Community Carnival on Thursday, Aug. 17 from noon to 5 p.m. The collaborated Community Carnival and Community Family Fun Day will be at the Salvation Army’s location at 704 Central Ave., Dunkirk. There will be carnival games, food, a bounce house, a petting zoo, pony rides, prizes and much more.
“We are preparing for about 1,500 individuals to be on our property through this free Community Carnival,” said Lieutenant Samantha. “We know there is a need in this community for affordable family fun and what better way to provide that than by having a carnival,” she said.
Everyone who registers at The Salvation Army’s table will be given five free game tickets and a free meal ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased from the cashier’s table for five game tickets for $1 or 50 cents per food or drink item.
