Win cash at Rotary’s Gold Rush

WESTFIELD — Winning isn’t everything, though having some extra cash in your pocket is a plus! The Rotary Club of Westfield-Mayville’s annual “Gold Rush” event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Eason Hall, 23 Elm St. in Westfield. The festivities begin with a Chiavetta’s BBQ Chicken & Ribs meal from 6 to 6:45 pm, which includes the delicious barbecue meats, au gratin potatoes, baked beans, roll & butter; dessert, soft drinks, coffee and water. Note: This is a BYOB casual, fun affair. Adults are invited to bring their favorite beverages and snacks to enjoy during the evening.

Starting at 6 p.m. there will be a reverse draw raffle for cash awards up to the grand prize of $1,000! Also, there will be a 50/50 raffle for chances to win more cash, the presentation of a Non-Rotarian Paul Harris Fellow Award to a deserving community member, and information about this Rotary Club’s PolioPlus Challenge to help rid the world of polio.

Tickets to this enjoyable evening are on sale now for $30 each. You do not need to be present to win! These tickets make great gifts for family members, colleagues and friends. People often purchase tickets in the name of their favorite charity, organization and/or church. There is a limited number of tickets, which are going fast, so reserve one today!

To purchase tickets, call Linda Dunn at 326-3012, email Janese Berkhouse at, or contact any member of the Rotary Club of Westfield-Mayville. Proceeds from this event support this club’s various local and international service projects, as well as youth scholarships and programs.
