Do you remember?

Fifty years ago, four young men set of determined to break an unofficial Chautauqua County record of the most holes of golf played walking in one day. They accomplished their mission by playing 108 consecutive holes of golf at Shorewood Country Club in Dunkirk.

To commemorate the feat, the foursome will reunite Aug. 11, 2017 at Shorewood. All four men, still enjoying the sport of golf will be coming from California, Minnesota, Las Vegas and Fredonia to relive the memories. Whether or not they attempt to set a new record remains to be seen.

Players included: David Bleck, Douglas Judell, Mike Spacciapolli and George Steedle.
