The Annual Spring Bosses’ Night and Dinner Meeting of the Chautauqua County Association of Educational Office Professionals (CCAEOP) was held on May 10 at the Cassadaga Legion in Cassadaga, hosted by members from the Cassadaga Valley Central School. Approximately 65 members, bosses, administrators and other guests were in attendance, and enjoyed a lovely buffet meal and dessert.

Each year, CCAEOP is proud to award an annual scholarship to a deserving student enrolled in one of the Chautauqua County Schools, as well as awarding an “Inspirational Scholarship” to a deserving student with special needs. The recipient of the Annual Scholarship was Ciara Carlson-Healy, a senior at Fredonia Central School. The recipient of the Inspirational Scholarship was Rashmika VanRensselaer, a senior at Westfield Academy and Central School.

Also at the annual spring dinner meeting, to show appreciation to the people for whom we work, administrators are especially recognized and thanked. In addition, an “Office Professional of Year” award is given. This year’s recipient of this prestigious award was Linda McGuinn, a Middle/High School guidance secretary at Westfield Academy and Central School. Her administrators labeled her as GOLD and the HEARTBEAT of the school.

Membership into CCAEOP is open to school office employees who are engaged in clerical, accounting, or secretarial work in any of the county educational systems.
