Silver Creek BOE recognizes troop, citizenship award winner
Girl Scout Troop 20069 was recognized at the Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, meeting of the board of education at Silver Creek Central School District.
These young ladies performed a community service project by providing each middle school classroom with a live plant to help combat indoor air pollution. The girls also provided laminated placards for each room to place above the light switch to remind staff to turn off lights and conserve energy when exiting.
Also recognized during the Feb. 14 meeting of the BOE was Silver Creek Elementary School Citizenship award winner Mason Olmstead who was honored for his November 2018 designation.
