Dunkirk Moose Club hosting summer fundraising events

The Dunkirk Moose Club held its bi-monthly lodge meeting on Tuesday, July 12. The meeting was opened by Governor John Lawrence. Many topics were discussed.

The officers and members discussed the upcoming chicken barbecue with the Rural Ministry/Friendly Kitchen on July 30. There will be four bands and a DJ with the headliner being Shawn Patrick McGraw. The event will held in the parking lot (weather permitting) from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with entertainment in the lodge after 5 p.m. This is a community service event and is open to the public.

Another fundraising event “Rally for Coach Rod” was discussed. This event is on Saturday, Aug. 13 in the club rooms and is also open to the public. A chicken barbecue will be held with a DJ and five bands.

Other events discussed included an ox roast on Aug. 27 and a car show on Sept. 24. The Dunkirk Moose is a community service-oriented organization that is always willing to help area groups out.

If you have an event in mind contact Bill Winder at the lodge by calling 366-5322.
