Japan travel presentation today

CASSADAGA — Dave Wilson will present a slide show of his recent trips to Japan at the Cassadaga Branch Library, 18 Maple Ave. today at 7p.m. There is no charge, and everyone is welcome.

Sheridan Historical Society will discuss future plans on Feb. 27

SHERIDAN — Sheridan Historical Society will meet Monday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. at the society building on the corner of Route. 20 and Center Road. Future plans will be discussed. All are welcome. For more information call 672-2201.

Northern Chautauqua Quilting Companions to meet Feb. 28

Kiwanis Avon bingo fundraiser

SILVER CREEK — Kiwanis Avon bingo will take place Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fireman’s Club (21 Jackson St. Silver Creek) for AVON bingo. This fun night will support the Silver Creek Kiwanis and Key Club and helps send kids to the Key Club Leadership Conference. A $5 entry fee provides two bingo boards, entry in door prizes and snacks. There will be prizes for bingo, Avon for sale and a cash bar. Enjoy a different night out!

American Vegan Society plans Fredonia Showcase Dinner

Fredonia Showcase Dinner will be hosted by the American Vegan Society at Ellicottville Brewing Company – West, 34 W. Main St., Fredonia. This four-course dining event will be held Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. The cost for the evening is $37 adults, $57 supporter, $27 students/low-income.

Hanover Memorial Post 148 annual meat raffle planned

SILVER CREEK — Hanover Memorial Post 148 American Legion will hold its annual meat raffle on Saturday, March 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Silver Creek VFW, 13 Main St. The event will feature 50/50 raffles, refreshments (pop, draft beer, sandwiches, snacks) and a ticket auction. Meats to be raffled include succulent turkeys, mouth-watering strip steaks and boneless skinless chicken.
