Fredonia Rotary taking orders for annual sale

The Fredonia Rotary Club Annual Fruit Sale is taking shape according to the committee. Chairperson Phyllis Jones has rolled out this year’s plan with the assistance of Dr. Russell DiPalma and Linda Blodgett. The event is on now through Thursday.

The sale consists of fresh fruit including navel oranges, Empire apples, grapefruit (red), and D’Anjou pears. Mixed cases and ¢ cases are available. This fundraiser tastes great, is good for you and supports many worthy Rotary projects.

Some of the projects are student scholarships at Fredonia High School and SUNY Fredonia, holiday baskets for the needy, planting flowers each spring in Fredonia village parks, building and continuous support of the Gazebo in Barker Common, sponsoring a RYLA Youth Leadership each summer and participating in the Student Exchange program, out-going and incoming. At the international level, Fredonia Rotarians provide support for the Polio Plus Program and as a club, purchase Shelter Boxes that provide housing and sustenance for a family of four where there is need, such as after an earthquake.

To help the Fredonia Rotary Club help others whether HERE or THERE and enjoy refreshing flavors, contact any Rotarian of your choice or call Linda at 785-0795 through Thursday for order information.
