Submitted Photo.

Members of the Dunkirk Civil Air Patrol Squadron NY-351, part of the Civil Air Patrol’s New York Wing, continued their tradition of helping others while washing cars, trucks, vans and SUVs on Sunday afternoon in front of the Fredonia Walmart. Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, is a nonprofit organization with 23,904 Cadet members and 32,969 senior members nationwide. CAP performs U.S. inland search and rescue missions as tasked by the Air Force. Its volunteers perform homeland security, disaster relief and counter-drug missions at the request of federal, state and local agencies. The members play a leading role in aerospace education and serve as mentors to the young people currently participating in CAP programs. For more information contact Lt. Linda Blodgett at 785-0795 or visit www.gocivilairpatrol.com.
