Library sets May schedule

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library has announced the schedule of programs and events for May.

Monday at 6 p.m.: Book discussion of Dunny Man’s Picnic: “A War Bride’s Journey,” by local author Diana Marie Fodero, who will be on hand to answer questions about her book.

Thursday at 6 p.m.: Personal History Show and Tell: “Mothers, Memories, and Mementos” with Patricia Pihl, a Personal Historian and owner of Real Life Legacies. Celebrate Mother’s Day and learn why personal history is so important. Discover ways to begin saving your own life stories. Share a favorite item – something from your or your family’s past and talk for a few minutes about the significance of your item. Or simply attend and listen to the stories shared by others!

Thursday, May 18 from 4 to 6 p.m.: Crafts with Gail. Learn counted cross-stitch starting with plastic canvas coasters.

Thursday, May 18 at 6 p.m.: Local author Doris Richardson presents her books “365 Thank Yous” and “All by God’s Grace.”

Saturday, May 20 at 11 a.m.: Youth Write Circle

Saturday, May 20 from 1 to 3 p.m.: Victorian Tea fund-raiser at Park United Methodist Church. Tickets are pre-sale only and are available by calling 962-5885. Deneise Reichard will present the program “Loving America,” and tickets cost $12 each for adults or $6 for ages 12 and under.

Thursday, May 25 at 6 p.m.: Christian Book Club will discuss In Every Heartbeat by Kim Vogel Sawyer.

Friday, May 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Plant Sale.

Friday, May 26 from 2 to 4 p.m.: Memoir Writing.

Saturday, May 27 from 9 a.m. to noon: Plant Sale.

Monday, May 29: Memorial Day (closed).

Wednesday, May 31 at 6 p.m.: Board of Trustees meeting.
