Sinclairville Free Library sets summer programming

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library, located at 15 Main St., has announced its summer programs. Call 962-5885 with any questions.

June Events

June 5 from 5 to p.m.: Digital Library Services Open House. Learn about downloading free books and magazines available through the library system for your personal devices.

June 8 from 6 to 7 p.m.: Local author George Clever presents his new releases: “Bright Colored Beads (Story Poems with a Native Touch)” and “No Longer Needed: Robotic Short Stories.”

June 12 from 6 to 7 p.m.: Jane Penhollow presents: “my life as a pilot.”

June 15 from 4 to 6:30 p.m.: Crafts with Gail: Learn counted cross-stitch on plastic canvas coasters.

June 17 at 11 a.m.: Youth Write Circle

June 19 at 6 p.m.: Books Unlimited Book Club discusses “Bel Canto,” by Ann Patchett.

June 26 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.: Summer Reading Program Kick-off and Registration Event at Sinclairville Elementary School, in collaboration with the Cassadaga and Stockton libraries. At 6 p.m., there will be a special magic, puppet and ventriloquist performance by Mike Randall. This event is free and open to the public.

June 30 from 2 to 4 p.m.: Memoir Writing

July Events

July 5 at 5:30 p.m.: Maker Club (ages 8 and up)

July 8: Sinclairville Village Yard Sales

July 10: World Building for Writers by local author Jessie Andersen

July 12 at 1 p.m.: ArtMobile from St. Bonaventure at Sinclairville Free Library.

July 15 at 11 a.m.: Youth Write Circle

July 17 at 6 p.m.: Books Unlimited Book Club discusses “The Woman in Cabin 10.”

July 28 from 2 to 4 p.m.: Memoir Writing

August Events

Aug. 2 at 5:30 p.m.: Maker Club (ages 8 and up)

Aug. 14 at 5:30 p.m.: “Live at the Library” with Jamestown’s Audubon Community Nature Center. Meet some reptile and amphibian “teachers” and learn what you can do to ensure their future.

Aug. 16 at 5:30 p.m.: Maker Club (ages 8 and up)

Aug. 21: Solar Eclipse Viewing Event (details TBA)

Aug. 25 from 2 to 4 p.m.: Memoir Writing

The Summer Reading Program will be held on Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., beginning July 13 through Aug. 10 (PreK through 6th grade)
