JAMESTOWN — The Spire Theater in conjunction with The Post-Journal, 106.9 Kiss FM, WNY News Now and Farm Fresh Foods present The Ultimate Showdown

On Wednesday, Aug. 30 at 8 p.m., eight contestants will take the stage of The Spire Theater to compete for a $500 grand prize, but they won’t be competing alone.

They have been tasked with the challenge and privilege of performing with the In Crowd, The Spire’s house band, an all-star group of the regionally renowned musicians. There are more than 100 years of experience in playing professionally between the seven members of the band. The In Crowd performed for the last two finale nights of Chautauqua’s Got Talent or at the 2017 Jamestown Cruise-in. The band is Chautauqua’s answer to Postmodern Jukebox, specializing in popular music from the past 100 years to today.

The Contestants competing are:

Shiloh Crook: a theatrical soprano who brings her brand of excitement to the contest with choreographed musical staging.

Deryck Brown: a trap pop dancer who wows audiences with his fusion of modern street dancing, martial arts and even classical dance.

Leisha Arthurs: a singer/songwriter who opens a window into her heart when she plays guitar and sings her original songs.

Elizabeth Lutgen: a 13-year-old violinist and reigning champion of Chautauqua’s Got Talent

Elijah Manuel: a smooth comic and hip-hop artist who captivates audiences with his original rhymes and fresh young personality

Alexis Hughan: an 11-year-old singer who impresses the crowd with her ability to sing while playing piano or Ukulele among other instruments.

Rose Gold: a tight, 4-piece band consisting of guitar, drums, bass and vocalist Teal Weatherly, former Chautauqua’s Got Talent winner.

Team Klassy: an all-girl hip-hop dance troupe who takes the stage by storm with flips and aerial stunts.

Once each contestant has performed, The In Crowd will entertain the audience with some timeless classics while the votes are tallied and then the winner will be announced at the end of the show.

Tickets are $7 presale online at www.in-spire.us or $9 on the day of the event at The Spire Theater, 317 E 3rd St., Jamestown.
