Sheridan VFW Auxiliary Chili Cook-Off on Saturday

The Sheridan VFW Auxiliary will be hosting a Chili Cook-Off fundraiser on Saturday 14 at 2 p.m. at the Sheridan VFW, located at 2556 Route 20. Prizes will be awarded for various categories. All are welcome to sample tasty chili for a small fee. If anyone wants to enter a chili, contact the VFW at 672-6011. All proceeds to benefit veterans in this area.

Quilters’ Guild to meet Oct. 19

The Westfield Quilters’ Guild meets Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in Westfield at the YWCA, 58 S. Portage St. Susan Guenther will present “The Very Long Distance Wandering Quilts” program. Her quilts were made by women all over the U.S. in a Round Robin fashion. Members are invited to bring their Round Robin quilts for Show and Tell and guests are welcome.

Benefit for Troy Little family set for Oct. 21

There will be a benefit for the Troy G. Little family at the Stockton Fire Hall, 28 Main St., Stockton on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 1 to 9 p.m. There will be a chicken barbecue for $12, and also basket items, a gun raffle and an auction. There will be chances for a Wagon of Cheer. Troy G. Little lost his courageous battle with Stage 4 GBM Brain Cancer on Aug. 28.
