SEAS Christmas basket project needs donations and volunteers
With Christmas fast approaching, the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Christmas Basket Project is in full swing. Each year, the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Christmas Basket Project provides food and gifts to up to 160 needy families (approximately 650 people) from the area. The Project Organizers rely solely on the generous contributions of the community to support this tremendous endeavor. Approximately $10,000 needs to be raised to fund the project.
The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Christmas Basket Project is collecting money, gifts and food. Food items include non-perishables, as well as hams and turkeys. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
Through Monday, Dec. 11, the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Christmas Basket Project will be accepting applications for Christmas Baskets. Families in need may contact the Christmas Basket Hotline by calling 363-6080 to apply for a basket. The baskets will be put together and distributed Dec. 15 – 17. Many volunteers are needed. For those who would like to assist with the Christmas Basket Project, help is needed from 6 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 15, 9 a.m. to noon on Dec. 16 and 9 a.m. on Dec. 17 at Northern Chautauqua Catholic School, 336 Washington Ave., Dunkirk. For more information or to make a donation, contact Carol Smith, Project Coordinator, at 410-0504.
