Collins Public Library sets January events

COLLINS — The Library will be closed Monday, Jan. 15 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Have safe and happy holidays! When registration for an event is required, call 532-5129 or stop in. The library is located at 2341 Main St. in Collins.

Upcoming events include:

Quilting with Florence: Every Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 2:30 pm.

Senior Movie: Friday, Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. Starring Brie Larson, Woody Harrelson and Naomi Watts. Call the Library for the title.

Craft Club: Monday, Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. Ages 4 to 12. Registration is required.

Gaming Unplugged: Thursday, Jan. 11 at 5:30 p.m. Each month, those present will play a new board game. Fun for all ages. Lap Sit Program: Thursday, Jan. 11 at 4 p.m. New program for children ages 6 months to 2 years and a caregiver. Music, songs, stories and much more. Registration is required.

Winnie the Pooh Story Hour: Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 5:15 p.m. Join in for wonderful stories, make a craft and play games, all featuring Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Ages 3 to 9. Registration is needed.

Toddler Time: The next session of Toddler Time begins Friday, Jan. 19 at 10:30 a.m. Registration is necessary.

Book Club: Monday, Jan. 22 at 11 a.m. This month’s book: “Bel Canto” by Ann Patchett. Request a copy online or at the library desk.

Magic of Science: Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 5 p.m. Explore the “magic” of physics and chemistry. Ages 5 to 11. Registration is needed.

Lego Club: Monday, Jan. 29 at 6:30 p.m. Ages 4 to 12. Registration is required.
