Silver Creek offering five-hour pre-licensing course in March and June

SILVER CREEK — Completion of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicle’s five-hour pre-licensing course allows students to earn the MV285 certificate, which is needed to sign up for a road test at the DMV and the Community Education division of the Silver Creek Central School District is offering local residents two opportunities to take the course.

The first session is scheduled Saturday, March 3 and the next session is scheduled Saturday, June 2. Both sessions will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room 182 at the High School.

Instructor Tom Herring will lead the courses and the registration fee is $30. Students must bring their learner’s permit (or proof of) as well as food and drink. A minimum of eight students is required in order for a course to be held.
