Collins Public Library sets events

COLLINS — The following events are scheduled at the Collins Public Library, 2341 Main St., Collins. When reservations are required, call 532-5129 or stop by.

Craft Club: Monday, March 5 at 6 pm. Ages 4 to 12. Theme will be “Egg-cellent” crafts! Registration is required.

Evening Book Club: Tuesday, March 6 at 5:30 p.m. Discussion: “The Stranger in the Woods,” by Michael Finkel. Request a copy online, stop by or call if interested.

Quilting with Florence: Every Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come quilt with these knowledgeable ladies.

Gaming Unplugged: Thursday, March 8 at 5:30 p.m. Each month, play a new game. Fun for all ages.

Friends of the Collins Public Library Meeting: Saturday, March 10 at 10 a.m. This is the first meeting of the year and a perfect time to join! There are applications in the Library, or come to the meeting. Always looking for enthusiastic people who love their library.

Tinkering in the Library! Saturday, March 10 at noon. Ages 1 to 12. With different rotating activities each month, there will be new things to explore. Fun for the whole family. Stop by or call to sign up.

Book Club: Monday, March 12 at 11 a.m. Discussion: “My Husband’s Wife,” by Jane Corry. Everyone is welcome. Request a copy online or at the Library desk.

Dr. Seuss Story Hour: Tuesday, March 13 at 5:15 p.m. Come and enjoy some Dr. Seuss fun! Read a few of his many crazy and tongue-tying books, have a Cat in the Hat challenge and make a fun Lorax craft. Ages 3 to 10. Registration needed.

Lap Sit: Thursdays, March 15 through March 29 at 6 p.m. For children ages 6 months to 2 years and a caregiver. Children will be introduced to rhymes, finger plays, music, songs, stories and much more. Sign-up is appreciated.

LEGO Club: Monday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m. Ages 4 to 12. Registration required.

Computer Class: eBooks and eReaders. Friday, March 23 at 2 p.m. Just get a new eReader and don’t know how to use it? Want to learn how to get FREE eBooks from the library? This is the class. Registration needed.

Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, March 24 at 10 a.m. Children age 0 to 10 are invited to join in the great hunt to find all the lost eggs that have been misplaced in the library. Pre-registration is required.

Computer Class: MS Word 2016 Intermediate. Tuesday, March 27 at 2 p.m. Learn how to use copy and paste functions, insert tables and images, and change font type to create a flyer! Registration needed.
