South Dayton Daffodil Festival has busy schedule

SOUTH DAYTON — The South Dayton Daffodil Festival is planned for Saturday with a number of scheduled events.

There will be a craft show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the South Dayton Firemen’s Activity Hall, 34 Maple St.

A dessert contest features desserts containing at least one of the following ingredients: orange, banana, lemon, pineapple, maple syrup or chocolate. Registration for the contest is from 10 to 11 a.m., with judging at 11 a.m.

A non-returnable container must be used. A copy of the recipe must be submitted. Categories are adults and children 12 years and under.

A dessert auction will take place at at noon. An Easter egg hunt will be held at the Village Park at 10 a.m. for toddlers to 6th grade.

The Easter bunny will be present at the Festival from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

A chicken and biscuits dinner is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.. The costs are: adults $9, senior or child, $7.
