Valley Historical Society holds annual quilt show

Submitted Photo

The Valley Historical Society recently held its annual quilt show in the museum located at the corner of Main and Lester streets. Each year, quilts are brought to the museum by residents of the area for a display with a note describing the pattern, the date, and the family. There are always different quilts brought to the show each year. The quilt show coordinators this year are shown in the photograph displaying some of the quilts. This year, the historical society had Lois Anderson and Betty Jean Ridout as the coordinators with the help of local historian Walter Waite, museum curator Diane Shaw, Linda Parmenter, and trustee Charles Sylvester. For more information on the Valley Historical Society, write to P.O. Box 1045, Sinclairville, NY 14782. The historical society, which dates back more than 40 years, welcomes new members.
