Xin Fan

Xin Fan, SUNY Fredonia assistant professor of history, received funding support and organized an international workshop on case studies and historical theories in Shanghai, China, on Dec. 19 and 20, 2018. The effort was part of his appointment as a fellow at the International Center for Studies of Chinese Civilization at Fudan University during the summer of 2018.

Scholars from Arizona State University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, City University of Hong Kong, Fudan University, George Washington University, Kunshan-Duke University, Lingnan University, Northeast Normal University, Peking University, Shanghai University, University of California at San Diego and Washington University in St. Louis participated in the event.

During his winter trip to China, Dr. Fan also gave public talks at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, Capital Normal University and the Institute of World History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing.
