JCC exhibition opens April 20
JAMESTOWN — Jamestown Community College’s Weeks Gallery will host an opening reception for the annual juried student art and design exhibition at 6 p.m. on April 20.
The event is free and open to the public.
The exhibition features works from all JCC campuses and includes painting, drawing and prints, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and digital media created during the 2016-17 academic year.
Artistic excellence and gallery awards in six media categories and an Alumni Association sponsored “Best of Show” award will be presented beginning at 6 p.m.
David Schirm, professor and head of the painting program at the University of Buffalo, is the juror for this year’s exhibition.
The exhibition will be on display until May 11. The Weeks Gallery is located on the second floor of the Arts and Sciences Center. Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday.
