NCCS Mission Club collecting pantry donations

During February and March through Easter vacation, the Northern Chautauqua Catholic School Mission Club is collecting non-perishable food for the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Food Pantry. The Mission Club, an after school club for grades four through eight, is in its 37th year of existence. The goal for this project is 1,000 items donated. On Tuesday, Feb. 28, the Mission Club held a Mardi Gras bake sale with proceeds helping its sponsorship of a 15 year old boy named Eder Perez, who goes to a Catholic school in Mexico. Through a program called “Unbound,” the club has been supporting him since he was eight. The Mission Club’s advisor is Marsha Miller.
