Hot dogs, lemonade to benefit Carly’s Club at Roswell

David “Davie” Newcomb, entering fifth grade this September, told his pastor at St. John Episcopal Church that he had a dream.

In that dream “Davie” was told to help children with cancer. From that dream, came the plan for the Sunday school kids of St. John’s to sponsor a hot dog and lemonade sale.

Also, all kids 10 years old and younger with a parent will receive a free Bible.

Proceeds from this event will benefit Carly’s Club, a charity associated with Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Carly’s Club mission is to make life more manageable for children diagnosed with cancer and their families. It also raises funds for pediatric cancer research at Roswell Park.

“Davie” and his Sunday school class invite all to support this endeavor. St. John’s is located on the corner of W. Fourth and Lark streets in Dunkirk.
