Efforts of Knights of Columbus restore crucifix

The crucifix at Holy Cross Cemetery in Gowanda recently received a new facelift by the efforts of St. Joseph’s Church Knights of Columbus Msgr. David Gernatt Council and parishoners. A new wooden cross was constructed and the image of Jesus was beautifully refinished. For more information on becoming a Knight or about St. Joseph’s Church in Gowanda, please call 532-5100.  All are welcome! St. Joe’s will host a Community Meal. All are welcome to the event, which will take place Saturday, Oct. 21 from 4-6 p.m. at 26 Erie Ave., Gowanda. Roast beef sandwiches, cheesy potatoes, green beans, dessert and drinks will be served. There is no cost to the event.
