Anderson-Lee Library collecting for Silver Creek Food Pantry and Toys for Tots

SILVER CREEK — During this holiday season, Anderson-Lee Library, located at 43 Main St. in Silver Creek will have collection boxes available for donations to the Silver Creek Food Pantry and Toys for Tots. Patrons are invited to drop off items during library hours. Library hours are Monday and Tuesday noon to 8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library is closed Sunday and Wednesday.

While all donations of non-perishable, non-expired food items are welcome, the Silver Creek Food Pantry does see a great need for the following items: canned tuna, mayo, pancake mix, baking mixes, canned soup, peanut butter, jelly, kid snack items, and cereal. There is also a need for the following health and beauty items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper, and other personal hygiene products.

The Toys for Tots Program, organized by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, collects and distributes toys to children of all ages, whose parents or caregivers struggle to provide holiday gifts. All donations should be brand new and unwrapped.

Collections will take place until Dec. 14. For more information, call the library at 934-3468.
