On Feb. 28, the faculty and students at Central Christian Academy in Dunkirk took part in Rare Disease Day. It was also Wacky Wednesday as part of the school’s spirit week. They wore jeans to school and denim ribbons to raise awareness for rare diseases that affect more than 350 million people worldwide. Only 5 percent of these diseases have an FDA approved drug. Visit globalgenes.org for more information. For information about the school, visit www.dunkirkcca.org.
