Jeffrey Plaister awarded Airman of the Quarter
Jeffrey Maloney Plaister was recently awarded Airman of the Quarter by the 107th Attack Wing, Air National Guard, Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station. Airman 1st Class Plaister completed Basic Military Training during summer 2016 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas, and in early 2017 attended technical training at Sheppard Air Force Base. He is currently a Munitions Systems Apprentice and was involved in Operation Northern Strike at the Combat Readiness Training Center in Alpena, Michigan. Recently, he served in flood relief efforts and post-tornado clean up in western New York.
Plaister is a senior at SUNY Brockport, completing a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology (Dean’s List status, 3.44 GPA), while concurrently beginning a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and a certificate in Utility Technology at Erie Community College. He works part time for the ANG in Niagara Falls, as well as for Merritt Winery and Vine Cliff Farms. The son of Marjorie and Colin Plaister of Fredonia, Jeff is a 2014 graduate of Fredonia High School, currently residing in Amherst.
