Hydrants show true color
Local artist, Brenda Butler of Dunkirk poses with her tribute to Francis Rhodes, builder of the beautiful Rhodes house in 1882 at 43 W. Fourth St.
In more recent years, it was better known as the Gardinier-Coletti Funeral Home. Rhodes worked as foreman and contract supervisor at the Brooks Locomotive Works. Above is a hydrant designed by Donna Logan, which includes a flag, the logos for the Dunkirk Marauders, left, city of Dunkirk and Buffalo Bills.
