Mr. and Mrs. Curtis T. Boyle

A Papal Blessing was bestowed upon Maria P. Hens and Curtis T. Boyle, who were united in marriage on July 11, 2015 at Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic church in Hamburg.

The bride is the daughter of Deacon Matthew and Mary Jane Hens of Fredonia.

The groom is the son of Patrick and Rebecca Boyle of Hamburg.

The Rev. John Adams and the Rev. James L. Fugle concelebrated the nuptial mass, assisted by Deacon Hens, who officiated at the Rite of Marriage and delivered the homily. Music was provided by John Meyers, organist; Paul Warra, soloist; and Peter Van Scozza, violinist. David Hens, godfather of the bride and Patrick Boyle, father of the groom proclaimed the readings. Gifts were presented by Donna Mellor, godmother of the bride, Nancy Cullinan, godmother of the groom, and Linda Maggio, grandmother of the bride. John and Margaret (Long) Hens, grandparents of the bride, served as extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a vintage style white off-the-shoulder Oleg Cassini trumpet gown with layered Chantilly lace and a sweep train. Her couture illusion elbow-length veil was held in place with a comb. She carried a hand tied bouquet of blue hydrangeas, white and coral roses and purple limonium.

Alana Flitt and Lauren Helper, sisters of the bride, served as matrons of honor. Katie Boyle, sister of the groom; Elise Chambers and Marianne Drzymala, cousins of the bride, and Sara Orf, April Tarantino and Liz Zahm, friends of the bride were bridesmaids. Each wore a floor length gown of her choice in horizon blue and carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, coral roses and purple limonium. Ella Helper and Molly Helper, nieces of the bride, served as flower girls.

Matthew Crawford, friend of the groom, served as best man. James Boyle, brother of the groom; Matthew McNinney, brother of the bride; and Michael Flitt and Patrick Helper, brothers-in-law of the bride were ushers. Brayden A.J. Flitt, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

The bride, who attended Northern Chautauqua Catholic and Fredonia Central schools, was homeschooled for the completion of her high school education. She graduated summa cum laude from both Jamestown Community College and SUNY Fredonia, where she earned a B.S. in communications disorders and sciences. A 2015 graduate of the University of Buffalo, she earned an M.A. in speech language pathology. She has accepted a position with Baker/Victory Services of Buffalo.

The groom, a graduate of Frontier High School, is a May 2015 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Buffalo, earning a B.S. in industrial and systems engineering and an MBA. He is a demand planner at Rich Products in Buffalo.

A family-friendly reception was held at the Iron Workers Hall Local 6 in West Seneca.

Following a honeymoon in Italy, the couple is at home in Hamburg.
