Subject with stolen weapon in custody
The Dunkirk Police Department are holding a Dunkirk man after finding him in possession of a stolen weapon.
Officers were called to 68 King Street around 8:45 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, King Street resident Damian Young, 27, was observed in the roadway allegedly acting disorderly and shouting profanities.
After allegedly ignoring several commands, Young was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed he was in possession of a stolen firearm that was linked to a previous burglary in the city.
He was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon, felony criminal possession of a firearm and disorderly conduct.
Young was transported to the city jail and held without bail pending arraignment.
