Participation in the 33rd annual Dunkirk-Fredonia Rotary Blood Screening & Community Health Fair is good for your health and our community.

Put on by Brooks Memorial Hospital, TLC Health Network, Kaleida Health and Tim Hortons, this year’s Rotary fundraising event will be Saturday, Sept. 23 from 6:15 to 10 a.m. at Fredonia High School.

For only $45, the blood screening includes 21 clinical tests including a colorectal take-home test kit. Men may wish to add an optional prostate screening for just $25, and new this year is an optional diabetes screen for just $20.

The Perrysburg Town Hall will be closed this Saturday, for the funeral of the late Supervisor Dennis Stopen.

EVANS — The Evans Town Board will hold a special Town Board meeting for the purpose of entering an executive session at Evans Town Hall, 8787 Erie Road, Angola, at 5:15 p.m. today.

Land Bank meeting Wednesday

The Chautauqua County Land Bank Corp. will hold its Acquisition and Disposition at 8:30 a.m. on today at the Main Conference Room of the Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk, with the monthly board meeting immediately following at 9 a.m.

The board meeting of the CCLBC is being conducted to discuss business associated with the acquisition and potential sale of property by CCLBC and other official business as required. Agendas will be provided at the meetings. The press, public and other stakeholders are welcome to attend.

Christian Rock Band Reign plans free concert Sept. 15

The Christian Rock Band Reign will host a free concert at the Fredonia High School, 425 E. Main St., Fredonia on Friday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The theme is “Who Holds the Reins in Your Life?” The purpose is trying to reach the youth of today with the message of the Gospel through music and word.

Reed to hold three town hall meetings Saturday

Congressman Tom Reed will hold three town hall meetings this Saturday. The meetings will be held at village of Fredonia from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Fredonia High School, 425 E. Main St., Fredonia.

Narcotics Anonymous weekly meeting held Fridays

The Narcotics Anonymous weekly meeting, “A Message of Hope” group, is held on Fridays at 7 p.m., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 327 Washington Ave., between Third and Fourth streets, Dunkirk. No drugs are allowed at this open meeting for anyone who wants to not use drugs.
