¯ MINA — Andrew S. Vanevery, 29, of Sherman, was taken into custody on Saturday shortly after 11 p.m. According to reports, deputies observed a suspicious vehicle on French Creek-Mina Road, stopping at various residences for brief periods of time. They stopped the vehicle and identified Vanevery as its driver, allegedly finding him to be intoxicated. He was charged with felony driving while intoxicated (previous DWI conviction within 10 years) and DWI per se. He will answer his charges in Mina Town Court.
¯ ELLERY — An 18-year-old female from Lakewood was stopped March 9 and charged with driving while intoxicated and DWI per se. According to reports, deputies received a call about a suspicious situation on Sheldon Hall Road, and when they investigated, they found the teen driving the car in an intoxicated state. She was taken into custody and later released with tickets. She will answer for herself in Ellery Town Court.
¯ ELLERY — Larry Croft, 37, of Forestville, was charged with several offenses on Saturday shortly before 3 a.m. when deputies responded to a car crash on Dutch Hollow Road. Following an investigation, reports say, it was ascertained that Croft was intoxicated. His charges include driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, speed not reasonable and prudent and moving from lane unsafely. Croft will answer his charges in Ellery Town Court.
