≤ Bobby J. Fowler, 34, of Westfield was charged with inadequate muffler, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle (felony), driving while intoxicated (felony), aggravated DWI, and operating out of an ignition interlock restriction (misdemeanor) on Saturday.

At about 12:30 a.m., Westfield Patrols observed a Dodge Durango traveling east on Route 20 in the village of Westfield. Patrols observed this vehicle to have a reportedly inadequate muffler/exhaust system and performed a vehicle stop.

Upon further investigation, it is alleged that Fowlerfailed several standard field sobriety tests and was charged with driving while intoxicated.

It was also determined that Fowler’s license was revoked, and that he had a prior DWI conviction within 10 years, making this charge a felony.

Fowler was arraigned in Westfield Village Court and released on his own recognizance.

¯ ARKWRIGHT — Michael T. Lawrence, 31, of Buffalo was charged with second-degree criminal contempt on Tuesday.

At about 4:30 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to the report of a possible trespass complaint on Shaw Road in the town of Arkwright. Upon arrival, Deputies located Lawrence and another individual at the property.

Through an investigation, Deputies determined that there was a valid order of protection between Lawrence and the other individual. Lawrence was then taken into custody and later released with an appearance ticket, and is due back in Arkwright Town Court at a later date.

¯ STOCKTON — Jacob N. Bemis, 23, of Stockton was charged with petit larceny on Monday.

It is alleged that Bemis stole approximately $600 from another individual on Sunday. Bemis was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charge in Stockton Town Court.

¯ HANOVER — Justin K. Szary, 32, of Silver Creek was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on March 15.

At about midnight, Deputies were investigating a suspicious person at a location on Routes 5 and 20 in the town of Hanover. Upon further investigation, Szary was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine.

Szary was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date to answer his charge.

¯ CHAUTAUQUA — Cody Thomas, 22, of Dewittville, NY was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI Per Se, failure to stop at a stop sign, and moving from lane unsafely on Sunday.

At about 3 a.m., Deputies observed a vehicle drive off the roadway surface and fail to stop at a stop sign on Sea Lion Drive in the town of Chautauqua. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator to be Thomas.

Following an investigation, Deputies charged Thomas with the above charges. Thomas will answer his charges in Chautauqua Town Court.
