¯ Matthew J. John, 40, of Dawson Drive, Gowanda, was arrested on a warrant on May 14 at 9:40 a.m. The Springville Village Court issued a warrant due to John’s failure to appear in court on Jan. 22, 2015 after being arrested for aggravated unlicensed opeartion and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Patrol located John and arrested him, then turned him over to the Erie County Sheriff’s Department to process the warrant.
¯ Jessica L. Silverheels, 37, of Walnut Street, Gowanda, was charged with driving while intoxicated, unlicensed opearation, obstructed vision and illegal window tint on May 20. At around 12:43 a.m., patrol stopped Silverheels on Union Street, due to the window tint and obstructed vision. During the stop, patrol supposedly noticed signs of intoxication and she then failed several sobriety checks, police say. During the DMV computer check, Silverheels’ license was expired on Dec. 10, 2004. She was arrested on the charges and refused the DWI chemical breath test. Silverheels will appear in Collins Town Court at a later date.
¯ Rebecca Jimmerson, 18, of West Main Street, Gowanda, was charged with child endangerment on May 20 at 6:45 p.m. Patrol responded to a report of an unconscious, unresponsive 18-year-old female as she allegedly overdosed on heroin. Jimmerson regained consciousness and became responsive as patrol arrived. However, patrol found during their investigation that a young child was in the presence of Jimmerson smoking heroin and she was arrested for the charge. Jimmerson was released to appear in Persia Town Court at a later date. Both were treated by Gowanda Ambulance and transported to Lake Shore Hospital for further evaluations.
¯ Ryan C. Zybert, 25, of Seneca Street, Gowanda, was charged with disorderly conduct on Wednesday at 10:56 p.m. Patrol observed Zybert supposedly walking on East Main Street screaming obscenities and profanities. Patrol confronted Zybert and he allegedly didn’t follow the patrol’s requested. He then supposedly walked away from the officers, which led to his arrest. He was released to appear in Collins Town Court.
¯ Brandon J. Brooks, 22, of Route 438, Gowanda, was given multiple charges including felony aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while intoxicated on Thursday at 12:49 a.m. Patrol responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in front of 237 Buffalo St. During the investigation, patrol determined that Brooks was operating a vehicle going southbound on Buffalo Street and, allegedly, veered across the northbound lane, struck a tree, then continued onto a lawn and struck a utility pole. No injuries occured. Patrol say that Brooks failed several sobriety tests and also observed an open bottle of alcohol in the vehicle. The DMV computer check revealed that Brooks’ license was revoked on March 10, 2015 after a conviction of driving while impaired. Brooks refused the DWI chemical breath test. His complete charges, include the ones above, are: speed not reasonable and prudent, moved from lane unsafely, driving on the shoulder of a roadway, refusal to take a breath test, open alcohol in a vehicle, operating an unregistered vehicle, operating an uninspected vehicle, operating a vehicle without insurance and no seatbelt. He will appear in Collins Town Court at a later date.
¯ Cherie L. White, 25, of Burning Springs Road, Versailles, was arrested on a warrant on Friday. Gowanda Police previously arrested White for moving from a lane unsafely and for leaving a scene of a property damage motor vehicle accident. White, allegedly, failed to appear at court and Persia Town Court issued the warrant. Buffalo City Police found White on Saturday at 6 p.m. and was turned over to Gowanda Police. White was arraigned in Persia Town Court and released to appear at a later date.
¯ Chartae M. Ervolina, 27, of Union Street, Gowanda, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate headlights on Saturday at 1:45 a.m. Patrol stopped Ervolina’s vehicle due to the inadequate headlights, the report says. During the computer DMV check, it was revealed that Ervolina’s license was suspended on March 24, 2017 for her failure to pay a traffic fine in Dunkirk City Court. Ervolina was arrested and released to appear in Collins Town Court at a later date.
