Drug possession and sale lead to charges in Jamestown Tuesday

JAMESTOWN — A Jamestown man was charged Tuesday after police discovered crack cocaine in his North Main Street apartment.

At 2 p.m., investigators from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and New York State Police CNET executed a search warrant at 1002 N. Main St.

Entry was gained with the assistance of the Jamestown Police SWAT team.

The occupant, 30-year-old Warkim M. Keys, was reportedly found in a neighboring front yard. Police said a quantity of crack cocaine was found in his apartment.

Keys was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to Jamestown City Jail to await arraignment.
