≤ SOUTH DAYTON — Kyle M. Samuelson, 24, of Route 62, Leon, was charged with second-degree burglary, petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies made the arrest following a burglary complaint. Allegedly, after the investigation, deputies found out that Samuelson illegally entered a home and stole items. He was arraigned at Dayton Town Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail with bail set at $1,000. He will be in Leon Town Court at a later date.

≤ CHAUTAUQUA — Thomas C. Matjoulis, 43, of Ashville was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, failure to keep right and moving from land unsafely.

At about 3:15 a.m., deputies stopped Matjoulis for alleged multiple traffic violations as he was driving on Route 394. He was taken into custody and after processing was released with traffic tickets. Matjoulis will appear in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date to answer charges.

≤ SILVER CREEK — Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office have charged Jennifer R. Laspesa, 38, of Silver Creek, for two counts of endangering the welfare of a child on Friday at 7:17 p.m. The charges stem from July 14 when sheriff’s deputies traveled to Silver Creek to administer NARCAN to an unresponsive female at 3:13 p.m., the OBSERVER previously reported. County Sheriff’s Office added that Laspesa was allegedly impaired by the influence of narcotics in front of two small children. She will appear in Silver Creek Village Court at a later date.
