Dunkirk man facing DWI, weapons charges

A traffic stop in the town of Pomfret Saturday morning has led to charges for a Dunkirk man.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies report stopping Joseph A. Rosario, 30, around 2:15 a.m. Through an investigation it was alleged that Rosario was operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated state and operating on a suspended license.

Additionally Rosario was found to be in possession of a weapon.

Rosario was charged with inadequate tail lamps, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated and fourth-degree criminal possession. He was arraigned in Pomfret Town Court and bail was set at $750 cash or $1,000 bond.
