New York State Police
¯ JAMESTOWN — Jason Green, 37, of Jamestown, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, Leandra’s Law, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child on Nov. 18 after troopers observed erratic driving, police say.
State Police received a complaint of an erratic driver in southern Chautauqua County and later found a vehicle on Buffalo Street Extension with similar violations. The driver, Green, was placed under arrest after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests. Green was transported to Jamestown State Police Station, where he supposedly provided a .15 breath sample. Since there were two minors in the vehicle at the time of the stop, the driving while intoxicated charge was upgraded to aggravated DWI, Leandra’s Law.
Green was arraigned at Sherman Town Court and released to appear in Ellicott Town Court at a later date. The children were turned over to a relative at the scene.
