Jamestown man jailed after car reported stolen
JAMESTOWN — A Jamestown man was waiting to be arraigned after a motor vehicle was reported stolen Thursday evening.
Jamestown police, who were with state police on a targeted enforcement patrol, responded around 3:30 p.m. to Foote Avenue for the theft. An investigation found 54-year-old Danny Lee Keith was allegedly in possession of the stolen vehicle.
Keith was also found to have an active warrant for fourth-degree grand larceny for the same vehicle, Jamestown police said in a press release Thursday night. The city man was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City.
Keith was also charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
The vehicle was returned to its owner.
