COLLINS — Davin M. Lay, 24, of Gowanda, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Dec. 30.
At around 4:59 p.m., troopers stopped Lay’s vehicle on Versailles Plank Road for alleged inadequate window tint. During the pull over, troopers reportedly detected an odor of marijuana. A subsequent search found Lay to be in possession of a plastic bag containing approximately 5.4 grams of marijuana and a rubber container containing approximately .15 grams of marijuana concentrate.
Lay was issued a uniform traffic ticket and an appearance ticket for Collins Town Court in January.
BRANT — Olivia M. Nicpon, 18, of Sloan, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Jan. 3.
At around 2:45 p.m., troopers stopped a vehicle on Route 5 as it was allegedly uninspected, where Nicpon was the passenger. During the interview, troopers allegedly detected an odor of marijuana. After questioning, Nicpon admitted to be in possession of marijuana, police say.
Approximately 1.89 grams of marijuana in a plastic bag and a marijuana cigarette was found.
Nicpon was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Brant Town Court at a later date. SUNSET BAY — Nancy Lopez, 34, of Rochester, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Jan. 8.
At around 7:32 p.m., troopers stopped a car on Routes 5 and 20 for failure to dim high beams. Lopez was the passenger of the vehicle. During the interview, troopers allegedly detected an odor of marijuana. Lopez admitted to smoking marijuana prior to the stop and during the search, Lopez was in possession of a plastic bag containing approximately .14 grams of crack cocaine and marijuana cigarettes with an aggregate weight of 1.18 grams, police say.
Lopez was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date.
