Jamestown man arrested for

stealing Jeep

JAMESTOWN — Randolph Perkins III, 19, of Jamestown was charged Monday with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property when he was found driving a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee that had been reported stolen earlier that morning.

The Jeep’s owner had gone to the Jamestown Police Department to report his vehicle being stolen from the parking lot of Dave Warren car dealership on Washington Street over the weekend. Dispatch sent out a radio broadcast to be on the lookout for the stolen vehicle.

At 11:39 a.m. a Sgt. assigned to the Family Court security detail observed the stolen vehicle parked in the parking lot of Family Court in Mayville.

Perkins, along with several other subjects were located in the vehicle. An investigation into the incident resulted in Perkins being placed under arrest. He was arraigned in Chautauqua Town Court and then sent to the Chautauqua County Jail. The vehicle was returned to the respective owner. More charges are expected by the Jamestown Police Department.

¯ POLAND — After pulling over a vehicle for driving erratically and making several lane violations, deputies charged the driver, Anthony Anderson, 42, of Kennedy, with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right and move from lane unsafely.

Anderson will answer his charges in Poland Town Court.

¯ VILLENOVA — At approximately 4:27 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive woman. Upon arrival deputies administered NARCAN to the unidentified 38-year-old.

She became responsive and was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital by South Dayton Fire Department.
