¯ CHAUTAUQUA — Larimey A. Gilbert, 32, of Sherman, was charged Feb. 28 following a traffic stop on Route 394 near Beaujean Road in the town of Chautauqua. Deputies stopped a vehicle after observing traffic infractions by the operator. Deputies identified the driver as Gilbert. Upon further investigation, she was alleged to have been impaired by drugs. Further investigation found Gilbert’s driving privileges in the state were suspended. Gilbert was arrested and charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to signal turn, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while ability impaired by drugs. She was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
¯ SHERMAN — Trever J. Kneel, 18, of Sherman was charged Feb. 26 with petit larceny. Deputies responded to an address in the town of Sherman for a reported larceny. It was determined that on Feb. 24, Kneel took money that didn’t belong to him. He was issued appearance tickets to answer the charge in Sherman Town Court at a later date.

¯ Michael Witherell, 27, of South Dayton, was arraigned on Monday, Feb. 26 and entered a plea of not guilty to an indictment that charges him with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, a class D felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class C felony. The incidents occurred on or about Aug. 31, in the village of South Dayton, when the defendant allegedly possessed at the same time and location, with the intent to use, or knowing that another intends to use each such product to unlawfully manufacture, prepare or produce methamphetamine with two or more items of laboratory equipment and two or more precursors, chemical reagents or solvents in any combination. The matter has been adjourned for motions.
