≤ CHAUTAUQUA — The Sheriff’s office received a report last week of an inmate, Brandon M. Tate, 20, of Jamestown, violating an order of protection while in the Chautauqua County Jail.
Upon investigation, deputies discovered that Tate had called another subject numerous times from the jail, despite having a valid stay away order of protection.
On Saturday, Tate was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense.
Tate will answer his charges at a later date in Chautauqua Town Court.
≤ HARMONY — After responding to a residence Thursday, an investigation found that David F. Burkhart III had threatened physical harm to another person over the telephone.
Burkhart III was brought before the Harmony Town Court and arraigned on the charge of second-degree aggravated harassment.
Burkhart III was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear back in court on a later date.
