Angola man seriously injured in motorcycle accident

SILVER CREEK — Chautauqua County deputies responded to the intersection of Central Avenue and Christy Street Saturday for a single motor vehicle accident with personal injury.

Deputies located a motorcycle overturned on it’s side. The driver was identified as Jacob P. Farabaugh, 42, of Angola.

Deputies determined that Farabough had attempted to negotiate a turn on Central Avenue and lost control of the motorcycle. Farabaugh was transported to ECMC Hospital in Buffalo by ambulance for serious injuries. The investigation is on-going. Charges pending at this time.

¯ Deputies pulled over a vehicle heading west on Lakeshore Drive East, in Dunkirk, after an NCIC check determined the vehicle was unregistered as of May 31. During the stop, a bag of marijuana was observed sticking out of the pocket of passenger Jerome L. Sellers, 35, of Buffalo. Both he and driver Rodney G. Clyburn, 38, of Dunkirk, were instructed to exit the vehicle. A pat down search was conducted on both subjects. Sellers was found to be in possession of a controlled substance as well as the marijuana. Clyburn was released with a UTT for operating the unregistered motor vehicle and Sellers was released with two appearance tickets, as well as a fingerprint appearance ticket. Both subjects are scheduled to appear at Dunkirk City Court at a later date.

¯SILVER CREEK — On May 28, deputies were dispatched to a report of a stolen wallet from a business on Jackson Street. Upon further investigation deputies found that Rachael A. Wilson, 40, of North Collins, had taken the wallet from the store without authorization from its owner. Wilson was charged Thursday with petit larceny and is scheduled to appear in Silver Creek Village Court at a later date.

¯WESTFIELD — On Sunday at approximately 1:30 a.m., deputies responded to a location on Parker Road where it was alleged that Andrew W. Graham, 22, of Sherman, had punched and broke a window to another person’s vehicle. Graham also allegedly threw another individual’s cellphone against a driveway, breaking its screen.

Graham was charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and is scheduled to answer his charges in Westfield Town Court at a later date.
