¯ IRVING — An Olcott resident was charged after allegedly trespassing at Sunset Bay. At 5:20 p.m. July 1, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies arrested Jared M. Wagner during the Sunset Bay Beach detail.
Wagner was removed from the Sunset Bay Beach Club and its property multiple times by private security as well as deputies. After multiple attempts at removing him, he was placed into custody after trying to regain access to the venue through a gated area.
Wagner was taken to the command post for arrest processing and refused to provide deputies with his information. Wagner was charged with the third-degree alleged criminal trespass as well as false personation.
¯ CHAUTAUQUA — A North Carolina woman is facing driving while intoxicated charges. At about 2:15 a.m. Thursday, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Morris Road. The operator was identified as Nicole C. Auge. Further investigation found Auge was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Auge was arrested and charged with DWI, DWI per se having 0.08 percent or higher B.A.C., and speed over limit. Auge was processed and released with citations directing her to appear in the town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.
¯ BROCTON — A village man was sent to jail for multiple arrest warrants. Around 11:31 p.m. Thursday, deputies performed a traffic stop on Harvey Road. Investigation found that Joshua Pelfrey, 29, had multiple arrest warrants. Pelfrey was taken into custody without incident. Pelfrey was then arraigned on charges of aggravated family offense, first-degree criminal contempt and trespass. In the town of Westfield court, Pelfrey was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.
¯ RIPLEY — Jennifer L. Gruber, 46, was charged on Thursday following a complaint for unauthorized use of a vehicle in the town of Ripley. Sheriff’s say Gruber allegedly took a vehicle from another person without permission, and did not return it. It was also found that Gruber allegedly took debit cards and credit cards, used to obtain cash from the same person, without permission. Gruber was arraigned in Ripley Town Court on charges out of Ripley for fourth-degree grand larceny, third-degree unathorized use of a vehicle, third-degree identity theft and two counts of petit larceny. Bail was set $5,000 cash/$10,000 property and also out of Sherman court on $2,000 cash/$4,000 bail. Gruber is to return to Ripley Town Court at a later time and date.
