Mayville man facing charges following traffic stop
CHAUTAUQUA — A Mayville man is facing several charges after he was pulled over by sheriff’s deputies in the town of Chautauqua on Saturday.
Around 4:48 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Morris Road in the town for a lane violation. According to deputies, the operator, identified as Ronald J. Hall, had his driving privileges in New York suspended.
Hall was taken into custody, and further investigation found that Hall was in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamines and Suboxone. After processing Hall, he was arraigned in Chautauqua Town Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.

¯ CHAUTAUQUA — At approximately 6 a.m. on Sunday, deputies pulled over a vehicle on Route 394 for allegedly committing multiple traffic infractions.
After a short investigation it was determined that the driver, Charles E. Carter, 36, of Mayville, was driving his vehicle while intoxicated.
Carter was charged with driving while intoxicated, BAC of .08 percent or higher, DWI, failure to keep right and operating motor vehicle while on a mobile phone.
Carter was released with tickets directing him to appear in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date to answer for the charges.
¯ HANOVER — On Saturday morning at approximately 9:15, while on routine patrol in Sunset Bay, a deputy observed a vehicle approach a stop sign on Iola Drive, and without stopping, proceed into the intersection.
After pulling over the vehicle the deputy found the driver, Linda A. Shriber, 66, of Akron, to allegedly be under the influence of alcohol.
Shriber was transported to the Hanover substation where additional testing was performed and she was later released with the following charges: driving while intoxicated and DWI per se.
Shriber is scheduled to appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date.
